WELCOME!
Wild Cat Foundation is the first and only non-profit 501(c)3 TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) group established in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. We are dedicated to promoting humane solutions to feral feline overpopulation.
A volunteer group, we help colony caregivers humanely trap feral cats which are then transported to feral friendly veterinarians for vetting. After a brief recovery all cats are returned to their colonies. The colonies no longer increase in size and receive periodic monitoring.
TNR has been proven to be the only humane method to reducing the population of unwanted felines.
Wild Cat Foundation trapped, neutered and returned 530 cats in the month of November 2006 alone and a total of 998 for the entirety of 2006. Wild Cat Foundation was also one of the driving forces behind the coming of the Big Fix Rig in Lafayette, LA during March 2007: 982 cats were altered and 100 more were brought to local vets.
